My husband I had a great time kayaking with Cocoa Kayaking! Cameron and Noah were our guides and were so pleasant and knowledgeable. It was cloudy when we went so we didn't see the sunset but we saw a dolphin, many birds and caught a bunch of comb jellies! We kayaked through the mangroves which was very cool. The guides took plenty of pictures of us and sent them to us afterwards. We did this on our two year anniversary getaway and it was the highlight of our trip. Would definitely recommend!!
Amazing! The guides Troy and Cameron were full of knowledge and positivity. I love that they take pictures throughout the tour and share with you later so you can concentrate on paddling and seeing all of the beauty around you. Would 100% do this again. Thank you!
The guides were friendly and informative. They made sure we were all accounted for and safe, even when it was dark. The mangrove tunnels were very interesting, and the bioluminescent animals at the end were neat, although there weren’t many this late in the season. I would recommend tandem kayaks with an adult for anyone 15 or under or anyone who is not comfortable with kayaking, as it does get very dark at the end of this tour. Overall, a great experience!
My boyfriend and I recently went on the "Thousand Islands Mangrove Tunnel and Bioluminescent Comb Jelly Sunset Kayak Tour" and it was very disappointing. The title of the tour led us to believe we would be seeing something bioluminescent and this was the reason we booked this specific tour over many others. We even travelled from a different city and got a place to stay the night just for this. But when we went on the tour we saw nothing. Then we overheard the tour guide saying it only happens in summer months. This is false advertising then. If there wasn't going to be anything bioluminescent on this tour, then it shouldn't be promised in the title. Aside from this major disappointment, the tour guide, Troy, wasn't great either. He was a nice guy but an awful guide. He kept leaving us behind on the way to the mangroves and we felt like we had to play catch up the whole time. A tour guide should make sure everyone knows which direction to go and keep everyone together but he waited until we were a mile behind to stop and wait for us. He also made comments/jokes to the other parties about us being behind and this was very unprofessional and disappointing. The pictures he took were also very bad, nothing anyone would want to save to look at later. I would like my money back, I only spent it because I thought we were getting a bioluminescent tour and that's not at all what we got. No bioluminescence and barely a tour. I also hope you guys make this experience better for future customers and make your titles more honest.
Just WOW! This was such a great adventure. For two hours of water time I certainly got a show for my money. This a Vet friendly company thst gave me a discount on addition to the 15% off Labor Day weekend Special. Now about the trip... I have fairly extensive outdoor travel experiences, nature is happy place, and this was ethereal! I kept saying...LOOK at that...OH there they go, and more. This was a fireworks show in the water like nothing I have seen. Little bits of "glitter" sparkled when I cupped the water in my hands! Nate was the guide for me and three other people. He was very knowledgable and he has a great conversational personality. He told us how to get the biggest glows along the route. Nate got the group to an area shallow enough for people to get in the water. I personally did not because of no water shoes on, but one guy did and he was seriously giddy about it. You gotta go!! These guys deserve the applause for being a company that keeps their group size small and gives great personal customer attention. From booking to saying good bye after the paddle is done. Thanks Nate!
Last night our family (including 2 young kids 9,5) went kayaking with Nate. It was such a magical experience! Not only did we see tons of bioluminescence, but Nate showed us a king conch nursery, helped us through the mangrove tunnels, and we saw dolphins jumping. Nate was an amazing source of information about the area, and what we were seeing. Highly recommend Nate and the sunset bioluminescence tour!
My daughter and I traveled all the way to Cocoa beach specifically to experience the bioluminescence tour. After researching all the different tour companies, I decided to go with Cocoa Kayaking and could not be more pleased! Darin our guide was so knowledgeable, informative and interesting. On top of the amazing education he provided us in such a short time we were blown away with the amount of bioluminescence we saw from start to finish! We saw frenzy’s of fish darting and jumping through the water, string rays and glowing jelly fish throughout the tour! A huge thank you to Darin for making it such a memorable and educated experience and one that we didn’t want it to end!
