Great tour. We toured n a sunny day. We were lucky to spot a gator, turtle, and baby (water moccasin?) snake. As well as a limpkin, great white egret, kingfisher, eagle and thanks to our guide’s sharp eyes: owls. Beautiful tour. Lots of info.

Great trip! Our incredibly knowledgeable and passionate guide Nick taught us much about the area. In spite of the winter season, we saw titles, alligator, different birds and even a rare sighting of a swamp rat

Our tour guide, Bingo, was wonderful. He was knowledgeable and very passionate about the swamp ecosystem and Louisiana In general. We did not see any alligators since it was January, but the weather was great for kayaking.

We really enjoyed the kayaking through the swamp! We never have been in a swamp before and this was a superior experience!!! Our guide was great and very knowledgeable! We booked directly through their website, which offers better rates than booking on TripAdvisor!

We had a great time! My husband had never gone kayaking before (and I hadn't in over 10 years) so we were a bit rusty but AJ gave great pointers and did not make us feel pressured to rush. We saw gators, owls, and bald eagles, and had a lovely time and decent workout!

Josh took us there on a cold January day. Everything went smoothly and it was much more enjoyable than expected. The conversation during the 45 minute ride in the van was lively. When we finally did make it to the water, he made sure we didn't have to get wet as we launched. We are not experienced kayakers but my family has done a few short term rentals in the past. We found it to be very easy going. The water was low that day but we did have to dig hard to get through the last bit before our very shallow turn around point. Watching my family struggle through that section was a lot of fun and I needed a challenge to make it interesting. Of course Josh was right there to help us. We were lucky and saw plenty of wild life. There were three or four alligators, an owl, a hawk, an eagle and plenty more. Josh had his share of fun stories and was more than willing to joke around with us. I even caught him singing"Big Iron" at one point...which, I'm down with that. On the ride back, Josh not only helped us pick out a place to eat, but dropped us off there, too! Also, that place.... NOLA Poorboys was much better than the last restaurant that was recommended to us. It might have been the best meal of our six day New Orleans vacation. Josh did seem very confident in our skills before we got in the water. We must have told him we had done a little kayaking in the past. So he did skip the FULL safety speech and didn't give much instruction. We didn't need any of that. So if you have worries about that sort of thing, just tell him and I'm sure he'll be more than capable of walking you through it.

We had perfect weather and saw lots of wildlife. Jeffrey was an excellent and skillful guide; he did a great job managing a group that included some absolute beginners. Calm, easy paddling in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed hearing about the wetlands and the history. If you’re looking for a little adventure out of town on your New Orleans trip, definitely book this tour.

My friends and I had the most wonderful time kayaking with AJ on New Years Eve. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the ecosystem, history, and local issues as well as able to point out all sorts of interesting things (wildlife of course but also names of trees, mushrooms, etc.) This is definitely a beginner friendly paddle but still fun for those who are mort experienced as he will let you go relatively at your own pace. I hope to do a longer trip in the future and HIGHLY recommend this to anyone.
