Itinerary

We are a TRUE sailing charter. We motor out to sailing grounds just a few minutes past our marina and put up the sails and shut the motor off. Enjoy the peace, quiet and excitement of true sailing. We allow our guests to be as involved with the sailing process as they want. If you would like to be involved you will be winching sail sheets, moving the sails from side to side when we change direction, handling lines, along with steering the boat and navigating. If you would like to have a relaxing ride, you are welcome to relax - do nothing - and we will take care of the rest.

Captain Paul, JT and David gave us the best afternoon on the water!! We enjoyed their company, the beautiful boat and JT’s dolphin call!!😉 thank you for the laughs, fun facts and memories we will talk about for years to come!!

Totally recommend this option for touring HH on the water. Paul; our captain was a wealth of knowledge, super friendly and recommended great places to eat in area. Had to change our experience from sail boat to power boat because there was no wind but thankful they had the option to do so. Will be booking again when we return!

Captian Paul and JT were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. From the moment we were greeted and brought on board you could see the pride they took in maintaining this beautiful sailboat. Paul's stories were both entertaining and educational. We left with a better knowledge of sailing, as well as many interesting facts about the island and marine life. My wife and I would love to come back and would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

Captain Paul and First Mate Kevin were so welcoming and knowledgeable. We saw several dolphin pods and learned so much about them. We didn’t get much by way of wind. Sailing winds usually pick up later in the afternoon/early evening so next time I will book accordingly. They even let us bring our Daisy, our Great Pyrenees, who did great though she is no water baby. Next time, we will get a dog sitter for her to stay ashore. She prefers her creek at home.

We used Anchors Away Sailing Charters for a 2 1/2 hour excursion over Labor Day weekend. We decided to book with Anchors Away to get a personal one-on-one experience and to eliminate the fear of being around a group of strangers on a larger boat who might be sick with Covid. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Captain Paul and his beautiful boat Knot the Office. It was our first time on a sail boat and we learned a lot - but didn't have to lift a finger. The boat is immaculate and was the perfect size for our group of 4. Captain Paul and his first mate are personable and very knowledgeable about the boat and about the island. A great time was had by all. We own a vacation home on Hilton Head and look forward to treating our family and friends to many other trips with Anchors Away.

We originally booked a sailing charter but there was no wind that day. Captain Paul very graciously allowed us to pivot to a power boat excursion at the last minute and we had an amazing afternoon on the water. The Captain was incredibly knowledgeable about the locations we visited and the wildlife that we saw. We were fortunate enough to see approximately 40-50 dolphins feeding and it was an incredible sight. We are very grateful to the team and will book again without hesitation the next time we are on the island.

My partner and I were looking forward to this sail the whole week and it didn't disappoint! We had a great time! Lots of opportunities for pictures, which they didn't mind helping us with. Everyone we interacted with was so nice and the booking process was really easy. It was a relaxing afternoon full of good conversation. Highly recommend it--the price is worth the experience even with just two people!

From the first moment we met Captain Paul and Kevin we felt welcomed, safe, and secure. When we reached the majical 35* we were truly "having fun"!. Not only was this a " sailing adventure" but a lesson in the history and folklore of Hilton Head Island. Captain Paul's stories were captivating!
